The Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) is a hiking and mountain-biking trail that winds along the southern shore of Lake Ouachita. This pristine trail extends 40 miles, from Denby Bay (west) to Avery Recreation Area (east) at the Blakely Dam.  The trail stands out as one of 53 worldwide trails to receive the IMBA Epic Trail designation.

The LOViT trail travels up, down, and along mountain slopes through mixed hardwood and pine forests, and opens up in several places to breathtaking views of Lake Ouachita.

The trail is built and maintained by the “Traildogs”, an organization of volunteers established in the fall of 2005, and Friends of Lake Ouachita.  For history of the trail and information on the groups that make it possible, visit www.lakeouachitavistatrail.com.
